Information for the parent

What does the Early Years Ltd scheme offer me?
Significant saving on nursery fees - can be up to 41%.

Am I eligible?
· You must have a preschool child/baby attending a day nursery.
· Either partner be employed by a company i.e not self employed
· You must be paying a minimum of £550 a month in nursery fees to make the scheme viable

How does it work?

The Scheme works by your employer contracting with a Workplace Nursery for places for their employee's children and offering those places for the use of the employees. You can accept the benefit and the employer will then in turn reduce your gross salary accordingly as this is a benefit in kind. The employer also pays to the nursery an additional monthly funding amount called the "Nursery Disbursement Fee". This funding can then be used for projects for the benefit of the nursery. Early Years Ltd are paid a fee to manage the scheme on behalf of the employer at the start of the contract. The employer then recoups both amounts from your tax and N.I. savings throughout the year.

What the Scheme can offer my company?

· A cost neutral (at least) benefit for their staff.
· Work Life Balance for employees.
· It aids the retention of staff without incurring extra costs and helps attract quality new staff.
· Makes the 'return to work' decision for new parents easier.

How do I join the scheme ?

1. Fill in your details on the parent enquiry form. If for whatever reason you are unable to do this call us on (0161 613 5377) and we will send an application form. There is no obligation.

2. We will then send you a calculation detailing your savings based on your tax rate & level of nursery fees.

3. Speak to your company and ask them do they have a Workplace Nursery scheme. If not we can introduce them to the scheme and we will provide a full 18-page employers information pack to assist you. Contact us to let us know whom you have spoken to and what the companies' response is to the scheme. Only then will we contact your employer on your behalf, and answer any questions.

5. Be proactive with your nursery and employer to ensure that you can receive the savings as soon as possible. Ask around to see if there are others in your company who are eligible. A number of you asking about the scheme will have more impact.

6. Upon approval of all parties, we prepare a contract for you.

7. You take a reduction in your gross salary.

8. You are provided a Workplace Nursery place by your employer.
